GST is a prime contractor supporting the FAA's efforts to develop a rigorous and effective aviation security program to counteract the terrorist threat to the Civil Aviation System.

  Programs in which GST employees are deeply involved include Airport Explosive Detection Systems testing and in the integration and test of combined technologies. They perform systems engineering for the FAA's Aviation Security Laboratory and at domestic airports where advanced security and concepts are installed and evaluated.

  GST also performs systems design and integration for the US Navy. GST's recent systems integration effort on the Navy's Integrated Launch and Recovery Television Surveillance (ILARTS), involved inserting a new computer between real-time sensors on an aircraft carrier flight deck and a video display recording system.

  GST did the systems design, system integration, and all the required software development. GST was then asked to incorporate the functionality of the Electronic Crosshair Stabilizaton System (ECSS) used in the Landing Signals Officer's position into the existing ILARTS System.

  GST performed the software and hardware engineering and delivered a prototype system in 1999 and 2000.
